I love this restaurant, it breaks my heart they arent that busy, because every experience Ive had with the owners and workers is so nice, they even refused to take a $7 tip for a takeout order which i repeatedly asked them to take. Vegetarian options: There isnt much veggie options, definitely look at the menu online before coming in. Parking: Very easy to find parking Kid-friendliness: Owners are so nice and dont get upset at children.

We went on a Friday evening. The food looked like it had been sitting out for a while. Some of it tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The tea was terrible it tasted like a powder mix. The only thing good about it was the people were nice and the table service was good. Also the restaurant was clean. Just wish the food had been better and fresher.

It took a minute or so for someone to acknowledge my presence in the front. The portion size was plenty but the rice was fried too hard for every order when only one order asked for hard fried rice. First time eating the rice it did not live up to the hype.

Weve been take-out customers for years. It was mostly the shrimp fried or pork fried rice and it was always great. Something has changed in the preparation. The last two take-out orders the rice had a lighter color and it was mushy. It didnt have near the flavor of past take-out orders. The take-out buffet fried shrimp was still good. Having been dissatisfied on two take-out orders we considered a third attempt but then we remembered Einsteins definition of insanity. Had it not been for the friendly staff I would have rated two stars. Great news. Ordered through the China Ko on the East Sam Houston Parkway @ Woodforest. The food was outstanding. A little bit of a drive from Crosby but worth it.

Absolutely horrible! My kids get the sweet and sour chicken... Its tough and cold! Myself and my husband had almost nothing to choose from! The buffet was either empty or the little bit of food left had been sitting there so long it had gotten wrinkled and changed colors. Then the waitress NEVER came to refill our drinks. I wouldnt recommend this place to ANYONE! We definitely wont be back.

Dont judge this book by its cover. The outside of China Ko leaves a lot to be desired, but inside is a well appointed Chinese paradise. The buffet is extensive and kept well stocked. The staff are friendly and attentive to the needs of their guests. The fried foods (chicken, shrimp, fish, egg rolls, dumplings) were golden brown and crispy. The selection includes everything from soup to desert. There are even kid friendly choices and prices. I even polled a few guests as they left. They had nothing but praise. Same here. Definitely worth going out of your way for.

Second time I been there in 2 months. Order the same thing. Shrimp fried rice extra shrimp. 1st time shrimp was raw. No flavor. This time it was cold rice was starchy, clumpy, no extra shrimp but I paid for it. I called to tell them and Mexican heavy set host was rude as hell. I will never go back.

High quality food from the menu, or off the Sunday buffet. Traditional Chinese cuisine with all the variations available. Chef KO has been nationally recognized for several of his unique menu items. No yukky stuff here. Everything is always fresh, served and prepared in an exemplar manner. The staff is courteous and professional, and the waiters speak excellent English. A comfortable, pleasant atmosphere, a fine dining experience. Try it, you will like it. 2019 update: Still serving 5 star food, but business is off, and they are having trouble keeping the doors open. A big problem is the current staff speaks little English, and comprehends less. Ordering is difficult, and frequently errors are made. Its not as much fun to eat there anymore, when you cant enjoy conversation with your waiter. Bill and Lai are missed.
